Santa came through.

Remember how Lily asked Santa for snow?

When we mentioned that he just might not be able to make it happen, she'd shrug her shoulders, look at Jingles, our Elf on a Shelf (thank you, Aunt Melissa and Uncle Kevin!!) and say "He will... with Christmas magic."

And then, on Christmas Eve, following a horrible day spent at Children's Hospital ER, our very sad, very sick girl looked out the window and saw snowflakes. Snowflakes that had not been predicted in our local weather forecast.

Since we had come thisclose to Lily being admitted to the hospital, we let her outside for about 2 minutes before rushing her back in.

In those 2 minutes, she tasted a snowflake on her tongue and did a quick twirl in the falling flurries. Her Christmas wish had come true.

Even Jack got a chance to snuggle up and take in his very first snow (please ignore the gigantor scratch across his nose. He is quickly proving to be quite the bruiser. I'm scared!).

Our very own Texas version of a white Christmas-- this was a gift from Santa that has us all believing.

Wishing you the happiest and healthiest 2010, friends!
