1/2 way to 2

18 months old. A 27-pound stink.

Recovering from a nasty stick (don't ask)injury that left him with a bloody and black eye. This is following a wound to his head at school that almost made his mama pass out and a fall that left a mark on his head earning him the nickname "unicorn." Could possibly have a future in mountain climbing.... or as a stunt double.

Loves all people, but his sister is his hands-down favorite. Obsessed with her Bitty Baby. May take his paci with him to college. Has a girlfriend named Peyton, and gets embarrassed at the mention of her name. Loathes socks and being stuck indoors. Would rather grunt and point than talk. Waves goodbye to our house every time we drive away. Still not much into his crib or sleeping in general.

A huge fan of trains, puzzles, tractors, Good Night Gorilla, dogs, dinosaurs and The Itsy Bitsy Spider. Scribbles in circles. Has a mean throwing arm. Can and will build Lego towers taller than himself, gets excited at doing so and says "I DID DAT!"

Our baby, but quickly becoming apparent that he is much more so a big boy. It is an age that is at times adorable and frustrating, terrifying and endearing. One thing is always certain: we adore the boy.

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Jack-Man!
